Father’s Day

And on a personal note, I wrote this essay for USA Today for my dad in honor of Father’s Day.

“I wasn’t very adventurous at 12 when it came to going to the movies; Disney films and rom-coms were more my speed. So when my dad suggested we go see Raiders of the Lost Ark, to say that I was less than enthusiastic would be an understatement.

My mom and younger sister certainly weren’t going to see it, so I was the only one he could even think of taking. I remember him talking with me about it, saying it was supposed to be great, had lots of action and starred Han Solo from Star Wars.”
